In the Layout display, the contents of the Memory Dump are mapped to a structure, which is displayed as a four-column tree. This is similar to the structure for a variable in Watch Data or Auto Data view. The selection of the layout is automatic in some cases, for example, if you fetch data in Memory Dump by selecting a variable name from the drop-down list, then the Layout display makes use of the variable's layout. However, you have the option of mapping the memory dump to a layout of your choice. Also, certain keywords have a default layout associated with them, for example the keyword, EIB has DFHEIBLK as its default layout.
