Start a Server

A CA InterTest administrator can start an InterTest server using the Servers view.

Note: You can start and stop InterTest servers only. This procedure does not apply to a CICS server.

To start an InterTest server

1. Ensure that the Servers view is visible.

   Note: If the Servers view is not visible, select Window, Show Views, Servers.

2. Right-click the server you want to start and click Start/ Stop Server.

   A Start/Stop Server confirmation dialog opens.

3. Click Yes.

   The Start Server Connection dialog opens.

4. Enter your z/OS system user ID and password.
5. Click Finish.

   An information message dialog displays the JCL job number as assigned by z/OS.

   The selected server starts running. The Servers view shows the updated status of the server as Available. Click the Refresh Server button to update the Status column.
