Servers View

The Servers view displays a list of servers, already defined or imported from a server import file. The Servers view lets you add new server connections to CA InterTest or modify existing server connections. This view shows details such as status of servers in a tabular format.

To manage servers available on the Servers view

  1. Click Window, Show Views, Servers to display the Servers view.
  2. Click the Servers view to highlight the view's toolbar.
  3. Use the following icons on the Servers view toolbar to perform the appropriate action:

    Description

    A toolbar icon to reset the user ID and password for a server connection

    Resets the password to a selected server connection.

    A toolbar icon to modify the details of a selected server connection

    Refreshes the status for all server definitions in the Servers view.

    CUI--Update Server Settings--ICO

    Changes the settings for an existing server connection using the Update File Server Connection dialog or Update CICS Server Connection dialog.

    A toolbar icon to Removes a selected server connection

    Removes a selected server connection after displaying a confirm deletion message.

    A toolbar icon to start or stop a server

    Starts a server after displaying a confirm server start message. This option is available for CA InterTest Administrators only. When you click Yes, the Server logon dialog opens requesting user logon details.

    Stops the server after displaying a confirm server stop message, if it is already active.

    A toolbar icon to add a new server connection

    Adds a new connection to the server using the New Server Connection dialog.
