Apply Updates

After you have defined your update site, you can check at any time for new updates. You can update the installed features available in CA InterTest.

To search for new features

1. Select Help, Update InterTest.

   The Feature Updates dialog opens.

2. Select the Search for updates of the currently installed features, if not selected by default.
3. Click Finish.

   CA InterTest searches for updates to the currently installed features.

   • If there are new updates, the Update Manager dialog opens showing the progress of the software update process. You can use the following buttons to track the software update process:
     • Cancel—Stops the software update process and closes the Update Manager dialog.
     • Details—Displays the progress of the software update process.

       Note: Clicking the Run in background button hides the Update Manager dialog. However, the software updates process continues to run in the background. This is not recommended.

       The Search Results dialog opens showing the list of updates available. To apply the updates, perform steps 6-12 in the procedure for defining new archive sites and continue. For more information, see .

   • If there are no new updates, CA InterTest displays an informational message that no new updates are available. Click OK to close the message.
4. Click Finish.
