Prerequisites for a Debug Session
Before starting a debug session, make sure that you perform the following tasks:
- Determine the platform in which your application runs: batch or CICS. This impacts the InterTest project type, debug session settings, required server connections, and so on.
- Obtain the mainframe CA InterTest PROTSYM files (data set names) that contain the symbolic files of the programs that you want to debug.
- Define servers to connect to for downloading programs for debugging.
- Configure debug session information.
