Lock a Selected Dump

You can lock a single dump entry or multiple dump entries to prevent accidental deletion in the Index view.

To lock a dump index

1. Open the Index view.
2. Right-click the dump entry and select Lock Dump.

   Note: You can select multiple dump entries using Ctrl-click or Shift-click. If you select one of multiple duplicate entries, all duplicate entries get locked.

   This action locks the selected dump entry and changes the value under the Lock column in the Index view.

   For CA SymDump Batch and CA SymDump System, the value under the Lock column shows the user ID of the user who locked that dump. For CA SymDump CICS, the value under the Lock column changes to Locked.

   Note: Alternatively, you can select a single dump entry or multiple dump entries and click the Lock toolbar icon on the Index view. You can also click the View toolbar icon on the Index view and select Lock Dump from the drop-down menu to lock a single dump entry or multiple dump entries.
