Export Log Files

You can export all existing errors displayed in the Error Log view to your computer or network to facilitate problem reporting. This exported error log can later be attached as documentation when you open an issue. You can export all existing errors displayed in the Error Log view to your local drive or network drive.

To export an error

  1. Click the Export Log icon An icon to export the PROTSYM report to a file on the Error Log view toolbar.

    The Windows Save As dialog opens.

  2. Enter a file name in the File Name field and specify the location for saving the file on your local system or network drive.
  3. Click Save.

    The exported log file is saved in the specified location.
