Update a DSN List

You can make changes to a DSN list using the DSN List view.

Follow these steps:

1. Open the DSN List view.
2. Right-click the DSN list that you want to modify and select View/Update.

   The DSN List Properties dialog opens.

3. Modify any of the following fields:
   • Data set name

     Specifies the name of data set where you want your DSN list to reside.

     Note: For more information about identifying a data set, see Select a Data Set.

   • Member name

     Specifies a member name for your DSN list.

     Note: For more information about identifying a member, see Select a Member.

   • Description

     Specifies a description for your DSN list.

4. Modify the contents of the DSN list by taking any of the following actions:
   • Click Insert if you want to add a data set to your DSN list.
   • Click Repeat to duplicate the selected data set in the DSN list.
   • Click Move up or Move down to position the data sets to suit your needs.
   • Click Import to import the contents of another DSN list into the one you are creating.
   • Type changes to a data set name in the editable Data set name table.
5. Click OK.

   The changes you made to the DSN list are saved and your DSN List view updates.
