Select a Database
Use one of the following methods to specify a database in a Data set name field in dialogs and wizards:

Use the drop-down menu to select a data set from the history of previously used data set names.

Type a fully qualified database name of 1 - 44 characters, with each qualifier being 1 - 8 characters long. Characters can be alphanumeric (A - Z, 0 - 9), national (@,#,$), or a hyphen (-). Separate each qualifier with a period (.). The first character of a qualifier must be a letter or a national character.

Type a wildcarded data set name and complete the following steps:

Click Select.
The dialog is populated with data set names that match your wildcarded criteria. -
Select the data set that you want to use.

Click OK.
