View Types
Use the views available on the main window to navigate through a set of resources. CA File Master Plus for IMS provides the following views:
Directory List View
The Directory List view displays servers you have defined and can connect to. Enter a text string in the Filter field to find a specific server in the Directory List view.
Editor View
The Editor view shows the contents of a database in character or single-record format mode. You can toggle hex format on and off in both modes. The Editor tab shows the name of the opened database.
Concatenated Key View
The Concatenated Key view shows the structure of the concatenated key broken down by segment. The Concatenated Key information is displayed for the currently selected segment in the Editor view. The initial format mode is the same as in the Editor view. Once the Editor and Concatenated Key views are opened, the keys can be displayed in character and single-record format mode. You can toggle hex format on and off in both modes.
Note: The Concatenated Key view is only active if you have a database open in the Editor view.
